Originally chartered as an Intermediate Chapter, Omega Lambda was the only chapter available to undergraduate young men seeking Omega in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area, between 1980 and 1990. During that time Omega Lambda provided programs and functions on the campuses of Drexel University, University of Pennsylvania, and Temple University. As a recognized organization on the campus of Temple University many of the programs were held at or around the Temple University campus, including tutoring and mentoring at local middle schools and the annual Halloween Party for the children in the North Philadelphia area.
